Half of employees access confidential customer data, survey finds

Almost half (46%) of Brazilian employees have access to customers’ personal data in the databases of the companies they work for, according to a report by cybersecurity company Kaspersky. Given this percentage, Brazil is the Latin American country with the highest number of employees holding this type of information.

The information is in the report “Fingerprints and their relationship with people and companies”. Personal data includes full name, personal documents and addresses.

What are the dangers of this access to confidential data?
